[1000mp] FT 1000 MP Mk V and computer control

New lister question: 

My new FT 1000 MP Mk V exhibits one significant behavioral abnormality 
when connected to a PC operating Writelog........the application's ability 
to track the rig's frequency gets "frozen" when the frequency is changed 
by pushing the rig's quick memory bank recall button.

Eg, you're on 14.025 and the computer displays your freq as 14.025.  You 
push the rig recall button to get to a previous frequency that was saved 
with the store button.  The rig goes to the old freq, say 14.058, but the 
computer continues to indicate 14.025.  Now you continue to move the VFO 
to change the rig's frequency further - but the computer continues to 
indicate 14.025.

The only way to overcome this is to use the computer to send a command to 
the rig to go to a certain freq - this appears to reset the relationship.

Is this a well known bug?  I hate to spend money on bells and whistles 
that I can't use.
