Very interesting info, once again.  I had read that many rigs had the cleanest sigs IMD wise at full rated output.  As
far as IMD in the amp, the QST review showed the AL-800H to be among the very best with 3rd order down 50dB.

Fortunately, I only operate CW so there is no IMD to worry about, and I wanted a amp with high gain because some of my
intended exciters don't have much output. I better do the key click mod on the MkV though.  Of course, as has been
pointed out, if I had to use SSB, the MkV will put out 70W class A which run through a 800H might yield the cleanest
legal limit signal out there.  I haven't ruled out an Alpha 99 yet though. I think "Alpha" sounds better then
"Ameritron" in CW. HI!

Just got back from Home Depot scoping out the options as far as running 240V to the shack.  Looks eminently doable.
