[1000mp] Fw: CW Interfacing query

You didn't mention the circuit you used. If you have a diode across the
output to to key jack I would check to see that it is not backwards.

Another possibility is a shorted transistor.

Pretty hard to trouble shoot with out the circuit. These guesses assume that
all the wiring connections are proper.
