At Dayton 2001 they had the two series of amps side by side with the hoods
open. To this layman's eye, everything in the 1200/1500 series looked
beefier, more likely to stand tough contest service. The transformers
appeared bigger, the wiring in the tank circuits was larger-gauge, and the
plate circuit components appeared bigger.
