Well Tonno,
I had the same problem when I installed the Inrad 400 hz filter pair (8,2mhz
and 455khz) in the 2.0Khz FT1000MP slots.
The problem is that cw or ssb filter positions use different bfo frequency.
I had 2x250hz + 2x500hz filters in 250 and 500hz if board slots, so solution
had been to remove the 2x500hz filters, desoldering 500hz/8,2Mhz.
I dont like it, so I installed the 2x400hz on 2.0Khz if board slots and I
changed the bfo frequency in the USER menu. Now when I use 2x400Hz Inrad
filter (99% of my operations) I need only to select 2.0khz filter position
and push USER switch on the FT1000MP front panel for the correct bfo
frequency.
I think you can use the same kind of solution. Study the FT1000MP manual for
USER instructions.
Also, the 250hz/455khz filter can be used on 2nd receiver without problems.
It is only a bit narrow for searching a station in qso with a dx station in
split frequency pile up.

Subject: [1000mp] Inrad 1.8 installed
I installed both Inrad 1.8 KHz SSB filters into the slots of 250 Hz narrow
CW filters. I wanted to compare their performance to the 2.0 KHz Yaesu
filters that are in the rig.
I notice that there is a frequency shift when I use those 1.8 filters in SSB
this way and I can tune back to the right frequency with the SHIFT knob. Is
it normal?
Is it possible to use those 1.8 filters in the 250 Hz slot or it is meant
for CW filters?
Can I use those Yaesu 250 Hz filters in the SUB VFO now? do they fit?
That shift aside I can confirm that the performance is really head and
sholders over the Yaesu 2.0 ones in cutting off the splatters...
