It could be a problem partially in the receiver, but certainly many
rigs click.
I'm not sure how the MKV is for close-spaced blocking and IM DR,
but the MP and the 1000D suffer from overload of the noise blanker
input transistor, and that can generate spurious signals.
This problem occurs with the noise blanker OFF. The MP is
improved by turning the NB gain control down, although that
doesn't totally eliminate the problem.
In the FT1000(D), you have to clamp gate 2 of the noise blanker
input transistor to ground to eliminate the overload, but it is a
simple mod to make.
