[1000mp] Audio Problem

Happy New Year to All! I have an FT-1000MP that has an illness. The audio
cuts out after 2 or 3 minutes of operation for a period of about 5 minutes.
I found that the ALC meter is 'full scale' when the audio cuts out. Some of
the guys tell me I have RF in my audio even when I set the radio at 10 watts
output!! Some of them exaggerate by telling me that it's "terrible" and
"awful." That irritates the hell out of me when they tell me that. I do know
that I am readable and understandable when I speak when the audio works. My
SWR is fine so I know that it's not a sudden mismatch that's causing it. The
tuner works fine. It does it on every band I operate. I don't know what to
make of it. I sent e-mail to Yaesu and I'm still waiting for a response.
I've read some of you guys stories here that you sent your radios to Yaesu
and the turnaround time is not 2 weeks. I read one guy sent his 1000D in
October and it still isn't back yet. That is absolutely unacceptable. Has
anyone else had this problem or something similar?
