Hi,
I'm thinking about buying a linear amplifier for use with my Yaesu FT-1000
MP Mark V. Based on my criteria (see below), do you have any
recommendations on which HF linear amplifier to get?
I'm currently leaning toward an Ameritron's HF Linear Amplifier Model#
AL-811H.
CRITERIA:
Price: Less than $1200.00;
Freq: 160-10 Meters, including WARC & MARS;
Output: 600-1000+ watts;
Interoperability: Easy connection and operation with the Yaesu FT-1000MP
Mark V;
Tubes: Prefer relatively inexpensive tubes; so replacement cost is not too
high;
Power: 120 volts AC (do NOT want to invest in re-wiring shack with 220volts
AC);

Tony
P.S. Yes, I've already checked out some of the reviews and comments on
