[1000mp] MK V tuner on 10M

Anyone experiencing the following

I used my MK V on 10m for first time this weekend to catch the PW0 .

When I press the tuner button (momentarily) to engage tuner, it works as
advertised on all bands except 10M where the SWR pins the bar graph and will
not resonate and then times out after about 1 minute.

The ant is a 3 el beam with <1.8 across 10, and the SWR without tuner
engaged is good.

Anyone have any ideas?

I followed the manual reducing then pwr out control to 9 o'clock and leaving
the tuner engaged for 50 sec when it times out.
