I've had several of them and DID notice a significant difference when the 
condx got very demanding (S9+60dB signals from nearby stations).

Two comments:
1.  As I was trying to say earlier, I think the publication of this table 
was a BAD idea.  If you want to see comparitive specs, you really need to 
look at the graphs from the expanded test reports.  This table is VERY 
misleading, and actually wrong in the case of the MP.

2.  In a private communication, Yaesu's Chip Margelli made a convincing 
argument to me way back when, that the Mark V BDR/IMD performance is 
actually on a par with the MP.  It does not underperform the MP.  I can't 
recall his exact words (sorry), but I remember being convinced.

Enjoy your MP's and MkV's - their BDR/IMD performance is THE best of any rig 
currently on the market - according to the full ARRL test reports and 
according to real down-in-the-trenches operation.  I'm hoping for a rig to 
come along and outperform them - I'll probably buy it - but it hasn't 
happened yet.
