Hello Rick...Please let me know if they actually can make a difference =
with weak signals....the signal to noise ratio is a big problem with me, =
and I am worried that the 1.8 might be too tight.....can you really work =
the very weak stations?.....Let me know your opinion here....I see Inrad =
makes an IF amp modification kit to improve the noise situation, and =
maybe you need this too, to really use the 1.8 filters.....

Thanks for your help,

Regards,

Mike

Before I would consider buying the 2.0 KC Inrad filters, I would look =
at the Inrad 1.8 KC filters.

Like you, I did not think the 2.0 KC Yaesu filters were tight enough =
in QRM conditions to make a significant difference for me

I just purchased (but not installed yet) the Inrad 1.8 KC filters =
which you might consider. They tighten down the bandpass in the worst =
of conditions and make copy possible. Obvioulsy these tight filters =
will not deliver high fidelity but I never put them in line unless I am =
experiencing the worst of SSB QRM.

  Hello Yaesu Fans.....

I have installed the 2nd and 3rd IF crystal 2.0 khz filters from =
Yaesu, and must admit I am disappointed.....

Between the noise and I guess the shape factor of these units, it is =
extremely difficult to copy weak signals......the interference reduction =
is not impressive either.....

Do the Inrad 2.1 filters work better?.....Shall I try to return the =
stock 2.0 filters and obtain the Inrad?.....

  Thanks for your input.....
