Hi John,
Tnx for your reply. I looked at the schematic yesterday hoping thr was just
a low value series R in the xvtr out lead that I could reduce or bypass. I
see the divider network you're mentioning. I'll be checking with DEM to see
if they make a little 28Mc amp that would work.
The input attenuator in the SSB xvtr has already bn set to minimum.

1. I think you can modify the mp, at your own risk of course !
Study the circuit - the transverter output is fed from a potential divider
and it certainly looks like you could change the values. Bet it's a bugger
to get to ?
2. Bypass the input potentiometer in the SSB transverter - that could gain a
few dB.
3. Run the SSB transverter into a small amplifier - potentially this could
give you a really good quality signal because everything downstream will be
under-run.
