[1000mp] Low Xvtr Output

Hello,

I recently purchased a used FT-1000MP primarily for use as a 28MHz IF with
VHF & UHF xvtrs.  The 28MHz power output at the xvtr port measures
about -20dBM.  My SSB xvtrs would like to see between
-10dBM & 0dBM of drive.  Does anyone on this reflector know how to modify
the 1000MP to get an additional 10 to 20dB of gain?  One of the reasons I
purchased the MP is because of the separate Rx antenna & xvtr output ports &
the switch to turn off the PA stages. I was aware of this low drive level
when I purchased it.
