[1000mp] MP/MARK V keying?

Just noticed the keying on my MK V is dropping the first key down.  A "V" sounds like a "U" And a "G" sounds like an "R" chopping the first dash in half. This while listening to it on another receiver.  I've checked all buttons and switches, disconnected everything and did a master reset with no luck.  Also plugged a straight key in the front jack and that has the same result.  Anyone experienced this problem?
