Brian:

You are quite right, there are many simple homebrew ways to interface your rig
for psk; starting with the one in the May, 1999 QST article by Steve Ford, which
got a lot of us on psk.

I have use lots of hook-ups (homebrew) over the last few years, but have settled
on the Rigblaster for the following reasons:

1) Minimizes ground loops.
2) Allows you to keep both you mic and PC connected to the radio via front mic
jack.
3) Allows easy switching between radios with different connector
configurations. I use my RB with the MK V, FT-817 and 706 MKII; a few jumper
changes and away you go.
4) Looks better than my homebrew junk!
