[1000mp] Re: Rigblaster and 1000MP

Can someone tell me why anyone would pay for a "rigblaster" or any other psk
interface? I hooked the sound card in my PC directly to the "Packet"
connector, and all I had to kludge up was the little transistor circuit that
makes DTR on the COM port key the rig, which I mounted right on the DB
connector! I'm getting good reports, and a transformer doesn't seem to be
needed. Also having no audio problems with a new DVS-2 I got for Christmas,
and no display problems with my MP or my MP Mk V. After reading all the
troubles the rest of you are having, I am wondering why!

    I run a 1000MP Mark V, and a Rigblaster Nomic and have had no problems
or issues at all.
I operate PSK31, MFSK and RTTY, with all the rigs' menu settings at factory
defaults. I also
key the rig using the serial port of the computer , instead of using vox..
why - I don't really know,
I am just more comfortable that way. It's all extremely easy to use.. and I
love it.
