[1000mp] FT1000MP Mark V Display Failure

What were the serial numbers of the failed rigs?  I also went through 2
radios for the same problem last year.  So far the two I now have are solid.

I understand the most common cause of display failure is an open Thermal
Fuse on the inverter board.  Has anyone ever heard what actually causes the
temp to rise thus blowing the thermal fuse?  Since one would need to either
order an expensive inverter unit or try to just replace the thermal fuse has
just shorting out the blown fuse worked for a period of time?  I am about to
get my third new FT1000MP Mark V.  The first one the display worked for only
three days.  The second lasted a total of three hours.  Great stuff this
Yaesu gear.  Do you think I really want to keep buying Yaesu?
