I never say the original post, or the reply from K2XX.  I'd sure like to 
know more, because my Mark 5 develops a raw CW monitor note, particularly 
on 15 meters, after a few minutes of alternate receiving and 
transmitting.  As long as I only receive, the note doesn't go south -- the 
radio was back to Yaesu last spring, but they couldn't find the problem 
(probably because they didn't transmit long enough to get whatever it is 
hot enough.
