Yes, this has come up a number of times before but it certainly bears repeating.  I handle it a different way, though.

I find that a lot of high frequency hiss that gets through the receiver with the EDSP CW demodulation turned off.  I
have two INRAD 1800 Hz filters installed so I prefer to leave CW demod enabled and turn the Width control to about 3~4
o'clock (in USB) to make the IF passband coincide with the effective audio cut-off of CW demod.  This prevents AGC
pumping. In LSB, the Width control should be set to 8~9 o'clock.  Of course, when you select one of the narrower
filters, you need to center the Width control.
