As far as CAT commands go, The Mark V and Field are no different than the
original MP.  Any program written for one will work on the others with no
glitches.  The programs I have written work on all three types ok.

If your program is written to recognize the MP type of radio, i.e., looks
for the unique status ID bytes identifying the radio as an MP type (as
the program should do so that it cannot "think" that some other external
device is the radio), it will not work with any other Yaesu model radio.
