Pete,

Yes, everything I do with TR is done on a "pure" DOS machine.  ( This was a
"condition" I pointed out in my written description.)   I have both a
desktop and a laptop 486DX50 that do NOT run Windows.  The are my contest
logging computers.  I have several bigger. faster, better computers that all
run Win98 2ndEdition.  I NEVER use them for TR.

Why not get out of Windows and RESTART IN MS-DOS MODE.  It might make a
difference.  I've had trouble the few times in the past when I've tried to
run TR on a Windows machine.  I  gave up trying ... too much hassle.

Let me know if you have any success.  By the way I think there will be an
article in the next NCJ about using Win based computers in the "pure" DOS
mode.
