Hi Hans!

        I totally agree with you.  That is certainly the ideal
combination for CW contests.  I was just suggesting an alternative
which would save you $270 for two 1.0 kHz filters.  Another thing
I often do on CW is to use different bandwidth filters in the 
different IF's.  For example, the stock 500 Hz filter at 8.2 MHz
and the 2.0 kHz at 455 kHz.  This gives you a "sloppy" 500 Hz 
filter which will still hear many off-frequency callers.  If QRM
gets really bad, you can then choose the Inrad 400 Hz at 455 kHz.
BTW, the filter selection menu on the MP is one of the main reasons
I have not considered either of the newer Mark V's.  I feel this
was a major error by Yaesu.
