Hello Scott,

It depends.

I had a MP for more then two years and have the Mark V for more then a year
now.

What is better on the MP that is the very easy and extensive way to choose a
filter/bandwidth combination. On the Mark V this is only possible with
CAT-software.

But on the Mark V you will find:
- 200 Watt output
- Class A (which I use in combination with my TL-922 and when I use PSK31)
- VRF (like to old preselectors)
- IDBT
- better display
- Very good ergonomics, e.g. the rubberized knobs

It is just what you like, what you think you will need and how much you have
to pay for it.

Is it 'nice to have' or is it 'need to have'...?

73! Hans.
