[1000mp] FT 1000MP MARK V FIELD

A friend of mine has one and it's no different than the MP or MKV. But there
is some debate as to whether you need the mod or not. I have a MKV and I
find the so called hiss insignificant to me. Why they came out with a low
price and increased is a good question. The regular MKV is reported to be
around at least another year.

wonder if  anyone on the reflector has an idea on the 20% price increase
on the FT1000MP MV Field ?
The policy YAESU follows makes no sense to me  unless they are discontinuing
the FT1000MP MARK V 200 w version  or increasing the price of this version .
Also maybe an user of the Field could report if the annoying HISS in the
original MP has been corrected  in the Field or the INRAD mod is still
needed.
It would be of great interest to know about the impressions on the Field in
case
we have some subscriber using it.
