[1000mp] Is this filter combination possible in a "stock"

Hi Gary,
I just took a closer look at my manual... I don't have a 500 Hz 3rd IF. I
just have the stock filters. That means 2 x 2.4 kHz and one 500 Hz which
sits in the 2nd IF. Therefore moving the filters without big "effort" will
not work in this case.
Coming back to the *one* 250 Hz filter. Isn't it better to purchase this
filter for the 2nd IF? I thought it was better to filter out as much qrm as
possible at the earliest point in the reception ...
