You guys think we've got it bad. A recent issue of RadCom, the RSGB monthly,
featured the $4000 TenTec 340 commercial receiver on the cover, contained an
extensive glowing review, with the following sentence carefully tucked away
somewhere in the body (I'm quoting from memory so it's not exact): "Whilst
the 340 may not perform as well on the amateur bands as high end amateur
transceivers built for that purpose, I have never found a receiver with such
high performance on the AM Broadcast Band." I kid you not.
