And why would you want to do this? The increase in signal is negligible
(1.8 dB?) compared to the risks you run. According to Yaesu, the FP-29 is
capable of 490 watts output, but this is to power everything in the radio,
not just the final stage, and it's very unlikely that the overall
efficiency of the radio (not just the final stage) is better than 50 percent.
Have you measured the IMD at 300 watts output? I bet it is significantly
below that specified at the 200 watt level.
