Hello Yaesu Fans.....

I know this reply comes a little late, but I have previously confirmed an
identical problem with a Mark V.....It was rectified via a master reset of
the radio.....There is some glitch in the radio firmware apparently, which
appears under unknown circumstances in certain radios.....It apparently is
found in both the MP and Mark V.....

Of course there maybe some other explanation, but I would try a master reset
first.....Please see the back of the owners manual for the instructions for
this simple reset.....Remember that once this is done, you will have to
rememorize the preset conditions for your "Automatic" antenna tuner.....

BTW, I have received the latest version of the service manual for the Mark
V, it is apparently no longer on back order.....
