It's a BCD encoded representation of which band you are on. Can be used by
devices to auto track band changes. I use the output to automatically
switch my antennas when I switch bands. YAESU use it for band switching
their amplifiers.
I cannot put my hand on the pinout data but as I recall it was a standard 1
2 4 8 binary code

|I am confused about what goes on at the band data jack. What appears on the
|pins labeled Band Data A through D? Also is there a list of the voltage
|levels for each band? If I missed something in the manual, just a page
|number would be fine.
