Yes, I have my MKv dedicated to 6.

No, you don't have to take apart rig.Just switch back to a or b antenna
(from rx ant) and switch the PA back on from menu settings and ur back on
HF.

Are you missing something....well from the east coast yes, alot of cool dx
BUT I'm sure alot of unreal qrm from locals.
