[1000mp] mp display?

My MP ... which will be three years old in a few months, has *always* had the
delayed display symptom on power-on.
It seems to get longer, the longer the rig is off between power-ups.
It can be a brief as a few seconds or up to nearly a minute long.
Otherwise the rig is fine.
