[1000mp] Just one more filter question

Please excuse my ignorance as a holiday present.  Am I correct that the
transmit signal passes through the same filters as on receive?  Therefore
cascaded 2.1s or 1.8s will have more restricted (not that that's
undesirable) audio and take less spectrum than wider filters in the MP??

Thanks especially to the few that provide most of the information on this
reflector to the neophytes.  Your advice, knowledge, and patience are
appreciated by all.
